When it comes to protecting the data of our applicants, Pegaas Vericare takes the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) very seriously. Here are some ways that we ensure compliance with GDPR:

  • Clear Privacy Policy: We have a transparent privacy policy that explains to our applicants how we collect, store, and use their personal data. This policy is easily accessible on our website.
  • Consent Management: We obtain explicit consent from our applicants before collecting their personal data. This consent is stored in a secure manner and can be easily retrieved if necessary.
  • Data Minimization: We only collect and process the data that is necessary for the recruitment process. We do not collect any unnecessary data or share the data with any third party without the applicant's explicit consent.
  • Data Protection Measures: We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data of our applicants from unauthorized access, disclosure, and theft. This includes regular data backups, restricted access to personal data, and encryption of sensitive data.
  • Right to Access and Erasure: We respect the rights of our applicants to access, rectify, or erase their personal data at any time. We also provide them with the right to object to the processing of their personal data.
  • Data Processing Agreements: We have signed data processing agreements with all third-party service providers that process personal data on our behalf. These agreements ensure that our partners comply with GDPR.
  • Use of your information: We lawfully process your information to fulfil our contract with you or the organisation verifying the qualification. We rely on your consent to share with the relevant academic institutions and for our overseas teams to assist in the verification process. We use your information in the following ways:
    • If we have a connection to the relevant university or institution, to automatically verify your qualification.
    • If we have no connection but the relevant university or institution is known to us, our system will generate an email to the relevant point of contact requesting verification.
    • If the relevant university or institution is not known to us, one of our agents will contact the relevant university or institution by email, phone or letter to request verification.

      • If you are a business customer, we process your information to fulfil the contract between us. We also process your information for the legitimate business interest of:

    • Providing you with information you have requested and information on our services.
    • Updating you on service.
    • Sending relevant marketing material.

  • Data Retention & Deletion Timelines:
    • Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for recruitment and verification purposes.
    • If an application is unsuccessful, personal data will be deleted within 12 months, unless legally required to be retained for a longer period.
    • For successful applicants, data will be retained for the duration of their engagement plus 5 years for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
    • Any data shared with third parties for verification will be subject to their retention policies, but we ensure compliance through data processing agreements.

  • Vendors & Business Partners:
    • Vendors and business partners submitting enquiries through our web form consent to the collection and processing of their personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
    • Information provided will be used solely for the purpose of responding to inquiries, assessing potential partnerships, and conducting business-related communications.
    • Personal data of vendors and business partners will be retained for as long as necessary to manage business relationships, after which it will be securely deleted unless required for legal or contractual obligations.
